Niky Lowe Obituary, Brampton, ON Death – Lacrosse Community Mourns Beloved Teammate

The lacrosse community in Brampton, Ontario, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Niky Lowe, a beloved member of the Jr. Bandits family whose life was deeply connected to the sport he loved.

Niky wore No. 39 in net and made a lasting impression on the teammates, coaches, friends and others who had the opportunity to know him. For Niky, lacrosse was more than a sport. His heart belonged to the game, and the relationships he built through it brought him immense joy.

Whenever he could, Niky surrounded himself with the people and the sport that meant so much to him. Even during the most challenging parts of his journey, lacrosse remained an important part of his life and continued to give him a sense of connection and happiness.

Sadly, Niky passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. His passing has left the Lowe family and the wider lacrosse community facing an unimaginable loss.

The Jr. Bandits expressed their deepest condolences to the Lowe family, as well as Niky’s teammates, coaches, friends and loved ones. The Brampton Excelsior family and greater lacrosse community are now being asked to come together to support the Lowe family as they navigate the loss of their son, brother, teammate, friend and loved one.

A fundraising effort has been organized to help ease some of the financial burden associated with funeral and memorial arrangements, giving the family the time and space to grieve, remember Niky and be together.

Those unable to contribute financially are also encouraged to support the family by sharing the message, keeping them in their thoughts or sharing a memory of Niky.

Niky spent his life bringing people together through lacrosse. His legacy will remain within the sport, among his teammates and friends, and throughout the lacrosse family that meant so much to him.
