Chef James Tanner Accident – TV Chef Recovering After Horrific Injury

Chef and television personality James Tanner suffered a serious accident in late October 2025 that left him with a severely injured pelvis and requiring major surgery at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

According to reports, Tanner shattered his pelvis in three places in what his brother and business partner, Chris Tanner, described as a “horrific accident.” He underwent an operation lasting more than five hours as surgeons worked to repair the extensive injuries.

Chris Tanner shared an update on his brother’s condition, expressing gratitude to the medical staff at Derriford Hospital for the care and treatment James received. The accident was described as devastating for James and deeply difficult for his family, who remained focused on supporting him through his recovery.

Despite the seriousness of the injury, James’s professional commitments continued to be an important consideration. He had been scheduled to appear alongside his brother at a special event at Atul Kochhar’s Kanishka restaurant in London.
