BJ Sigler Obituary, Jennings County, IN Death –JCHS Mourns Beloved Baseball Coach

The Jennings County High School community in Indiana is mourning the unexpected passing of Head Baseball Coach BJ Sigler, whose death on Thursday has left students, athletes, coaches, families, and friends heartbroken.

Sigler’s impact extended far beyond the baseball field. He was a dedicated husband and father, a local business owner, a longtime former assistant coach with the Jennings County High School football program, and a committed member of the community.

Known as a passionate competitor, BJ loved baseball, his teams, and the young people he coached. He challenged his players to give their best while also showing a generous and caring side. He was described as someone who was always willing to step forward, lend a hand, give his time, or help someone in need without expecting anything in return.

BJ cared deeply about Jennings County and the people who called the community home. Throughout his years of coaching and involvement, he positively influenced countless student-athletes, coaches, families, and community members. His presence, friendship, generosity, and dedication to the Panthers will be deeply missed.

The Jennings County High School community has also recognized that the loss may be particularly difficult for students. Counselors are available at JCHS for students who are struggling with the news or need someone to talk to during this difficult period.

Jennings County Panther Baseball also remembered Sigler as a tremendous competitor whose easygoing personality and genuine nature made him a joy to coach with and compete against. His positive influence reached high school and youth baseball throughout the area.

As the Jennings County community grieves, thoughts and prayers are with BJ’s family, friends, players, fellow coaches, and everyone whose life he touched. His influence will continue through the many people he inspired and supported throughout his life.
