A triple shooting in Buford, Georgia, has left one man dead and two others injured, prompting a homicide investigation by Gwinnett County police.

Officers responded Saturday to an apartment complex near 1400 Laurel Crossing Parkway after reports of a shooting. When authorities arrived, they found three victims. One man was pronounced dead, while two additional victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The identity of the man who died has not yet been released. Investigators said his name will be made public after his next of kin has been notified.

Police Investigate Shooting

Detectives remained at the scene as they worked to establish what led to the violence. Investigators were conducting interviews, speaking with potential witnesses, canvassing the surrounding area and gathering evidence from the location.

Authorities have not released the conditions of the two surviving victims. Police also have not announced whether a suspect has been identified or taken into custody.

A possible motive has not been disclosed, and investigators have not confirmed whether a firearm or other evidence connected to the shooting was recovered.
