Because of his preference for having everything added to his meal, the restaurant affectionately gave him the nickname “Mr. Extra.”

Over the years, Marco became a familiar and valued presence at the restaurant. What started as a customer relationship developed into a lasting friendship and a bond that the Oriental Garden team described as family.

The restaurant recalled how Marco would frequently make Oriental Garden one of his first stops after returning home from long journeys on the road. He could often be found arriving for a quick lunch, stopping in for a comforting dinner after a long day or visiting to satisfy his Vietnamese food cravings following road trips.

Those everyday visits became meaningful memories for the people at Oriental Garden, who now find themselves mourning someone they considered part of their extended family.
