Edmonton police are seeking information about 42-year-old Scot MacDermid and his two children, George, 6, and Lesley, 9, who have reportedly not been seen or heard from since August 28, 2026.

Scot was last seen with his children at Manning Town Centre, near 155 Avenue and 37 Street in Edmonton, Alberta. Police have expressed concern for the welfare of all three and are asking anyone with information about their whereabouts to come forward.

Scot MacDermid is described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

His six-year-old son, George, is described as approximately 4 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 45 pounds. George has brown hair and brown eyes.

Lesley, 9, is approximately 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 45 pounds. She also has brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities are urging members of the public who may have seen Scot or either of the children since August 28 to report any relevant information. The family’s continued absence has prompted concern as police work to determine their whereabouts and ensure their safety.

Police have specifically asked members of the public not to approach Scot or the children if they are located. Instead, anyone who believes they have information that could assist the investigation should contact the Edmonton Police Service.
