Tucker Budzyn Death, Michigan Obituary – Family and Millions of Fans Mourn Beloved Golden Retriever, Dies At 8

The online community is mourning the death of Tucker Budzyn, the beloved golden retriever who became an internet sensation through his funny, affectionate and widely shared videos. Tucker died Wednesday at the age of 8, just two weeks after being diagnosed with lymphoma.

His owner, Courtney Budzyn, shared the heartbreaking news in an emotional video, explaining that Tucker had been responding well to treatment before an unexpected complication developed.

According to Courtney, Tucker had lymphoma in his intestines. Although chemotherapy appeared to be working and he was entering remission, treatment left a hole in the affected area of his intestine. An infection then developed and rapidly worsened.

Courtney said Tucker was taken to receive antibiotics and fluids after becoming extremely weak, but his condition continued to deteriorate. Despite efforts to save him, his temperature remained elevated and the infection could not be brought under control. Courtney ultimately made the painful decision to let him go.

Tucker Budzyn’s Battle With Cancer

Courtney announced Tucker’s lymphoma diagnosis on August 30, saying treatment had already begun under the supervision of a veterinary oncologist. His care included the CHOP chemotherapy protocol alongside herbal therapies.

For a short time, there were encouraging signs. Courtney said Tucker was considered to be in partial remission after his first week of treatment and continued enjoying many of the activities he loved, including swimming, walking and visiting parks.

Tucker was adopted as a puppy by Courtney and Mike Budzyn in Michigan in 2018. Over the years, his personality and daily adventures attracted millions of followers across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms.

For Courtney, Tucker was far more than an internet celebrity. In her farewell, she described him as part of her soul and credited him with changing her life.

Tucker’s death has prompted an outpouring of grief from followers who watched him grow from a playful puppy into one of the internet’s most recognizable golden retrievers.

His legacy will live on through the countless videos, photographs and memories shared with the people who loved him.
