The Monongahela, Pennsylvania, community is mourning the unexpected death of Cody Joseph Walters, who died at his home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the age of 28. His death has brought profound sadness to his family, friends and those who knew him throughout the area.

Born July 1, 1998, in Freehold, New Jersey, Cody was a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School. He later earned an associate degree in diesel technology from Rosedale Technical College in Pittsburgh, developing skills that became an important part of his professional life.

Cody owned and operated Walters Welding and Fabrication in Monongahela, where he was known for his talent and dedication to his work. Outside of his career, he enjoyed riding side-by-sides with his wife, Noelle, spending time with friends and bringing humor into everyday situations. His family remembered his sarcastic sense of humor and his tendency to turn almost anything into a joke.

Cody is survived by his wife, Noelle Golomb Walters, along with his brother Justin Walters, sister-in-law Jocelyn Golomb and extended family members. He and Noelle had celebrated their second wedding anniversary just one day before his death.

Friends and loved ones will be received Tuesday, September 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home in Monongahela. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
