With heavy hearts, we remember Grant Hale, 17, of Minerva, Ohio, whose life was tragically cut short following a devastating crash on U.S. Route 30 in Perry Township, Stark County, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

At approximately 12:19 p.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a serious two-vehicle crash near milepost 11. According to the preliminary investigation, Grant was traveling eastbound in a 2013 Ford Fusion when his vehicle left the roadway, crossed the grassy median, and entered the westbound lanes. His vehicle collided with a 2018 Mack truck traveling westbound.

Following the impact, both vehicles left the roadway and entered a wooded area. Sadly, Grant suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Stark County Coroner’s Office.

At only 17 years old, Grant had so much life ahead of him. There were dreams waiting to be fulfilled, memories still waiting to be made, and countless chapters of his life that should have been written. His sudden passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how fragile and precious life can be.

For his family, friends, and everyone who knew him, the pain of this loss cannot easily be expressed in words. They are now left with memories of a young life that ended far too soon—memories of smiles, laughter, conversations, friendships, and moments that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

May those who loved Grant find comfort in remembering the person he was and the moments they shared with him. Though his time on Earth was short, his memory can continue to live on through everyone whose life he touched.

Our thoughts are with Grant’s family, friends, and loved ones during this unimaginable time of grief. May they find strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.

Rest peacefully, Grant. Your life was precious, your memory will endure, and you will never be forgotten.
